Hi I'm William Adams

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love longboarding, and making longboards (I have my own company), I mountain bike when I get the chance, I enjoy spending time with my family, and just doing stuff with them, I enjoy fishing, and fly fishing (I tie my own flies). I enjoy going for backpacking trips, I enjoy kayaking, and small boat sailing. I enjoy wood carving, and I love old guns. I'm kind of a softie, because I crochet, knit, do counted cross stich patterns, and quilt. I am scuba certified, I love to work on bicycles and repair them, I wrestled in high school, I enjoy turning stuff on my lathe. I am a return missionary from the Oregon Portland mission, I am currently enrolled at Utah Valley University studying Emergency Services to be a paramedic with the US Air Force (I plan on graduating through the Air Force ROTC program). And I have recently gotten into snowboarding, and also enjoy working with my aquaponics garden.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I read the Book of Mormon, prayed about it. Not only that, but I taught and practiced these principles of faith, prayer, and daily scripture study for two years of my life. So I know with out a doubt, that this is God's church once again here on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by not participating in things such as smoking, drinking, sex before marriage, I don't swear, and I treat others as Christ would have treated them to the best of my ability.

What is the Book of Mormon?

William Adams
the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and a supplement to the bible. it backs up the teachings of the bible, and it goes into a little more depth as to what faith is, what the Savior did for us, and includes chapters that contain prophesies of Isaiah. in short, the Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

William Adams
no, the members of our church are not required to serve a full time mission. but because of the strong desire to share the word of God we hold sacred, and the desire to help Gods kingdom to progress, many do serve a full time mission. for some people, serving a mission is out of the question because of financial problems, family problems, or political problems. and so for these reasons there are many who do not serve. but those that are able to serve, they are highly encouraged to serve a full time mission, sharing the word of God, according to their abilities. that is part of the reason why you will generally see young men dressed in white shirts, and ties walking around, or riding a bike, because that is part of their missionary calling. older couples who choose to serve a mission, have different responsibilities that dont require as much physically. this system then allows for many of the Church members to serve a mission if they choose.
