Hi I'm Brandon

I love finding an answer. If your going to mess up singing at least do it loudly. I enjoy being around people. And im a mormon.

About Me

My life has been pretty simple. I love being around people who I can make smile. I like playing sports, I have a hard time being a spectator. I have a wonderfull family who has kept me going the right way. When Im feeling down food usually does the trick to help me find instant joy. I come from a good sized family with very close ties. I like to think I can sing. Speaking of which I am a profound believer in the mood changing power of music. I grew up in the church for the most part. As a child I would go to church whenever I was with my father, usually bi-yearly. But when I was with my mother I went to a few different baptist / non-denominational churches. When hearing about the Prophet Joseph Smith and his experience with the first vision, I felt something more powerfull than ever before in my life. That memory stuck with me through some rough times and poor choices. As I thought back on my experience of what I felt, I shifted my choices to try to be better. Eventually my descisions led me to serving a mission. which, though not complete yet, has been the best descision Ive ever made! I love watching those who Ive been able to help make their own descisions in becomming better people, just like I did. Thats gotta be the best part of missionary work. Im excited for the future and the challenges that await me there.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because after being away from the Church most of my life I found out that its the best organization that teaches about the love of God and His son Jesus Christ. I have been down a dark road or two. but i found light in the messege of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe in on going revelation. i know that this is the church where revelation is recieved about the crazy new things that are happening in the world. If not for being a Mormon... well i would have no idea what to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, right now, by being a missionary. I talk to others about Jesus Christ. And I invite them to learn more about the things He has taught, especially in the Book of Mormon. I also live my faith by having faith in the Savior and His Atonement, by repenting, honoring the promises that i made to Heavenly Father at bapstism, listening to the promptings of the Spirit, and then repeating that proccess as often as I need to.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Well, we can see what happened to the Earth when the Apostles werent around. The dark ages. No one could say "Thus saith the Lord". No one was talking to God! Without that basic unit of Church government the primitive church quickly spun into darkness and confusion. The Apostles colectively held all the responsibility and permission from God to Govern and direct the church. If this truly is the Restored Church we MUST have the Twelve Apostles. If not history would repeat its self. leaving the world again in apostasy and trouble. Show more Show less
