Hi I'm Allen

I'm 51% Filipino. I'm adopted. I dont have any food allergies. I'm a Latter-Day Saint...I mean...Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Fresno, California. I have a younger brother (he is only 10 months younger than me). We weren't really born into the best of circumstances. I was born into a home of addiction; mostly drug, alcohol and other forms of abuse. At an early age we were placed into foster care and were blessed to have had a foster parent who taught us good morals. Eventually my brother and I were fortunate to be adopted by our foster mom. I grew up in North Bend, Oregon. I was a gymnast (gymnastics) for 10 years! When I was 14 years old we moved to Spanish Fork, Utah. I graduated from high school in 2008 and attended 2 years of college at a university. I am currently taking time out of schooling to serve the Lord and share the blessings of the Gospel with others in the Minneapolis Minnesota Mission. I am learning Spanish and enjoy being able to practice it/use it with others. I am not really sure what my "hobbies" are or what I want to "do" with my life. But I do enjoy graphic design, building things, eating good food, helping others and taking naps. I have a turtle named Squirtle (yes, that's right). I like cats. I used to have 2 dogs (they ran away). Squirrels are 100 awesome! (tengo un apodo en la mision; soy Elder Ardillita)

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8yrs old, but I didnt quite fully understand what that meant until later on. As I got older I started to evaluate WHAT I believed and WHY I believed what I did. I questioned whether or not I was in the correct church or not. After studying it out, praying for myself and recognizing all the blessings and opportunities I have in my life, I came to know for myself that what this church teaches is true. I'm a "Mormon" becuase I have recognized how the church has changed my life. If I hadn't been adopted I probably wouldnt have come in contact with the church. If I didn't have the church in my life I dont know where I would be.

How I live my faith

Although I am nowhere near perfect, I try to be a good person and live by example. Actions speak louder than words! There is always room for improvement...trust me! Currently I am serving as a missionary in Minnesota. My goal is to do my very best to share this Gospel with everyone and to allow others the same opportunity I had to have the church bless and change their lives! (run-on sentence? hmmm?)

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

No. Do you? One of the fastest ways to get 'kicked out' of the church would be to practice it. Show more Show less
