Hi I'm Walt

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona, USA. I worked for many years in the food industry as an engineer. I am now retired. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Mesa Arizona. After graduating from high school, I attended Brigham Young University. I was drafted during the Vietnam conflict and served two years in the US Army. After returning home, I married and became the father of six children. I spent a number of years as an industrial engineer in the food industry, traveling throughout the United States. I have since retired and began pursuing my interests in amateur radio, astronomy, and physical exercise. I drove a school bus for about six years because I love children. I have recently been called as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I sold my home and have moved to the area where i have been called to serve. I now have 14 grandchildren. I have not seen them for several months. I enjoy what I am doing very much.

Why I am a Mormon

The scriptures say that no man can say that Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Ghost. I verily testify that it is true. I have studied may other faiths and well as the history and teaching of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have read the Bible and Book of Mormon many times. I have also studied may other important documents. I have spent much time on my knees in humble prayer to the Lord for guidance. I have asked Him to manifest himself unto me in answer to my prayer of faith. He has been merciful to me and has answered my prayer. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness by the power of the Holy Ghost that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true and living church upon the earth. Of this I bear solomn witness.

How I live my faith

I spent my entire life in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ, having been called to many callings in His service. In my youth I was called to preside over several other young men as we performed our duties in collecting offereing for the poor, participated in preparing, blessing and passing the bread and water to members of the congregation in my church. I also participated in scouting which was sponsored by the church. When I was 20 years old I was called to serve 2 years as a full time missionary in which I had the honor to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I met my wife, we decided to get married in the holy temple for time and all eternity. During our married life we had 6 children while I was serving in numerous calling including presiding over a congregation of over 600 church members as a Bishop. I have been a scoutmaster 3 times. I have been in charge of missionary work my church unit. I have served as a secretary and kept church statistical and financial records.I have taught adults and youth in sunday school. Yet in whatever service I have given, I count it a great honor to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
