Hi I'm Isaac Lowder

I am a follower of Christ.

About Me

I am a small town country boy, born and raised in Aberdeen Idaho. I love the country life and growing up on a farm was great for me. My parents have always been people of great faith who desired to teach me the important things in life. How to work, how to play, what it means to have integrity, what it is that is required of me in this life. I have and always will be deeply grateful for their sacrifices in my behalf. As far as my interests go, I have always been intrigued by technology, I have enjoyed the occasional mechanical endeavor, and always enjoy being involved in music. I gained a great passion for singing late in my high school years and have enjoyed the opportunity to study voice at college. I loved concert, pep, and jazz band in high school and believe music is an outlet that can give more than people may perceive. Music is a language we all speak.

Why I am a Mormon

In simple terms, I was raised in the LDS faith. I had wonderful parents who took me to church every week and made sure that it was something I made important. I really can't imagine being anything else. Maybe it's that I don't know anything else but I believe that as I have grown in faith, wisdom and knowledge that I know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ. The same organization that existed in the primitive church. The spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ has witnessed to me it's truthfulness to many times for me to deny it.

How I live my faith

I go to church most every Sunday, pay tithes to build up the Lord's kingdom, fulfill the callings that have been given to me, and strive to be a representative of Jesus Christ. At the present time I am a pianist for Elders Quorum a meeting with the priesthood brethren, and I am also a leader of a family home evening group, this is a group of apartments of men and women that meet together every Monday night to teach each other, have fun and build each other up. I strive to use the talents that God has given me to build his kingdom, I don't always think that my talents are equal to the calling but believe those called are entitled to the Lords help in things they lack confidence. I don't play the piano as well as I would like but believe that I was called to that position for a reason. Mostly I try to understand what it is that God would have me do and then do my best to fulfill that.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Isaac Lowder
I think sometimes the LDS churches view of Christ is misunderstood but we do indeed believe he is the source of our salvation. Without him we can have no hope. Without him we remain sinful lost, carnal beings without a source for change. Through Christ the most base of human desires can be controlled. When we come to him and repent and are baptized we make a bond with him and become a representative of Christ. He wants all to come to him, be perfected in him, baptism is the first step. I would exhort all to come to him, repent and be baptized. Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Isaac Lowder
Missionaries for the most part earn the money to serve their missions. Not everyone has that option so there are things like the Missionary Fund that members donate to for that purpose. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Isaac Lowder
In the LDS church all of our clergy are volunteer, they have devoted their lives to Jesus Christ and their rewards are not in monetary substance but spiritual and heavenly substance. Which to me seems like a much more desirable reward. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Isaac Lowder
We believe that the bodies and desires we have been given are for a sacred purpose. To bring children of our Heavenly Father into this life. Any sexual action outside of the bonds of marriage is viewed as unholy. Show more Show less
