Hi I'm Richard

I'm a college student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm retired from the United States Air Force and have recently gone back to school. Currently, I'm busy studying to become a High School math teacher and working on a Masters degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. I grew up in Utah and served as a missionary in Panama, Costa Rica and Honduras. After my mission a met and married a wonderful, sweet young lady from Denver, Colorado. We have been married for over 30 years and have two sons. During my Air Force career I was stationed in Germany, England, Washington, D.C., Georgia and Colorado. Since retiring from the Air Force, my wife and I have made Colorado home. After graduation we'll see what life has in store for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have come to know the church is true by obeying the commandments, reading the the Book of Mormon, and through personal prayer. Serving a mission for the church has helped me discover for myself that I really do have a teatimony of the church. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be happy.

How I live my faith

I love to be of service to others. I have worked with the youth of the church in many different roles. I have been a Scoutmaster and worked with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. Currently, I am serving as a counselor to the Bishop of our Ward.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

As I look around me at all of the wonderful creations of this world, I can't help but believe there is a being far greater than myself. When I consider the miracle of the birth of a child, I am lead to believe in God. It doesn't seem possible that these things can happen by chance. Show more Show less
