Hi I'm Alaina

I love to laugh. I love to play guitar.I love college. I'm about to serve a mission in Belize and San Salvador, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am an ambitious, fun-loving college student. I love all things hilarious. I enjoy meeting new people. Talking to people is easily my favorite thing to do, aside from laughing with people. I love running and exercising. I have a passion for music and for books. I love fashion and recently learned how to sew!. I'm a big sister to three fantastic siblings, and I am currently studying Economics with a business minor at BYU in Provo, Utah. But most exciting of all...I have just received a mission call to serve in the San Salvador/Belize mission as a full-time missionary for 18 months! I CANNOT WAIT. The gospel is true! The church is true! Life is great and I am beyond excited to preach the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

It's true! Its absolutely undoubtedly the full truth. That's good enough for me. Aside from that, it makes me happy. It gives me such peace and joy. Having the gospel in my life brings such light and joy to my day to day undertakings. I know who i am. I know where I came from. I know that Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. That is the ultimate good news of the gospel. He loves me, unconditionally with a perfect love. I am never forgotten. I want to serve Him. I want to have the light that the gospel brings to my life every minute of every day. I know that Christ lived and died for me. I know His atonement is the single most sacred and important act ever committed. Because of it I can be healed and forgiven of my mistakes. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for me. I have a purpose. The Book of Mormon is true. The spirit resides within those pages, testifying of the truthfulness of its words. I revere the prophet Joseph Smith. He was a man of God, who sacrificed so much in order to deliver the gospel to us in the latter days. God has not forsaken us, there is a prophet on the earth now to direct and guide us. I have a personal relationship with the Savior of the world and Heavenly Father. What sweet news the gospel brings!

How I live my faith

Right now I am preparing to serve a mission. For me this means learning to becoming particularly adept at listening to and following the propmtings of the spirit. I study the Book of Mormon each day, and I pray often to my Heavenly Father. I attend a young single adult church ward every sunday, and will soon be assigned a calling there until I leave for the Mexico missionary training center. I strive to become more like my Savior in every way, and meet the trials of my life with faith in Jesus Christ.
