Hi I'm Mark

I am a college student. I love to be outdoors. I love life. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student in college. I am studying Marketing and I love to learn. There are lots of new things to try and I find it exciting. I like to try lots of things but am good at very few of them. I love music, art and the company of other people. I do enjoy spending time out of doors hiking, exercising, swimming, volleyball, and fishing. I figure that there is a lot of life to live in a short amount of time and I hope to make it all count. I love my family and I love to spend time with them. I often times enjoy spending time at home with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I have learned for myself that this is true. I realized that this was all true when I was 18 or 19. I read the Book of Mormon and I sincerely prayed to God and asked Him if this was true. I had a unique feeling of peace inside me that hasn't left me. When I face moments of trial or am discouraged, I can think back to that moment and I can still feel that peace inside. That was several years ago and I still attend church and believe it as much as I did then. I find that that the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. There are a lot of things in the world that seem to give happiness but it just doesn't last. We are fortunate to live in a world with so many opportunities, but things just seem to change and shift so much as time goes on. The gospel of Jesus Christ is constant and it is something that I feel confident in building upon. It fills the holes that are in my life and gives me comfort on a day to day basis. I really can feel the love of my Heavenly Father and I know that He cares about us all. He wants us to truly be happy and this is what has brought me the most happiness in my life. I feel good about life and this gospel has given me direction for my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith within the church organization and outside of it too. Within the church, I help to plan activities and fun events to help members meet each other and to also help strengthen their faith in Christ. It has taught me a lot and has helped me grow closer to Christ. Outside of the church I live my faith by holding true to the values I believe in. I take care of my body, am honest, and try to treat others like they are children of God.
