Hi I'm Emilyn

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of four children. I enjoy almost everything that comes with being a wife and a mother. When I do have a few moments to myself I enjoy reading, writing and walking my dog. I play the piano. I will always want a newborn. My life would not be classified to others as exciting, nor have I traveled extensively. I love living simply and I love the life I've been given.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending church with my family. There was a good feeling in our home after going to church. I knew I wanted that feeling in my own home when I grew up. After marriage and the birth of our firstborn, I decided to learn for myself the knowledge that my parents had professed to know about being a Mormon. After really giving the scriptures time for study and an open heart, I knew in my heart and mind that the words spoken in the Book of Mormon are indeed from God and that His Son Jesus Christ lives. That Joseph Smith did restore Christ's church on the earth and that His church is led today by a living Prophet. This testimony became a part of my existence. It is my anchor in a world of turmoil. Through Christ I have peace with God, myself, and the world around me. Being a Mormon has given me many opportunities for growth both intellectually and spiritually. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I enjoy living my faith through service to others. On Sundays I currently teach a group of young children and play the piano for our chior. I love helping the young children feel safe and happy as they attend church. I love teaching about Jesus. I love testifying of Jesus through music. During the week my Husband and I read scriptures with our children and pray often with them. This keeps a good feeling in our home.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Emilyn
The easiest way for me to increase my faith in Jesus Christ is to read the holy scriptures. The Bible increases my knowledge of Him and His teachings while He was on the earth. The Book of Mormon further increases my knowledge that He lives and loves me. When I am familiar with His life and teachings it is easier to trust in His attonement and love. This strengthens me and helps me move forward in my life with faith. Show more Show less
