Hi I'm Rikki Kotalik

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 27 year old woman, who is now happily married and a proud mother, thanks to the church. I live in Cleveland,OH. with my family. I am learning to be a new stay at home mommy for my two awesome kids. My daughter is a angel sent from heaven just for me. She is a very smart seven year old but at times that can definitely get her in some major trouble. My two year old son, is 100 boy!! His is a major lover in secrets, but thinks he is The Incredible Hulk around everyone else. And then my awesome Husband, Ricky! Ha ha, yes we are both Ricky's. He is someone I look up to everyday. I am very blessed to have someone like him in my life. My best friend, my lover, and my fighter! That me and my family in a nut shell.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because the first time I ever went, I felt welcomed!!! Everyone had smiles on their faces and they all knew each other and, just looked so happy. I wanted to be that happy. I started going to this church with some neighbors of mine when I was around 11. I had a good feeling about the church at the time so I made the choice at 12 to get baptized. Then my mom joined, then my sister. We seem to joy ourselves with our neighbors and the missionaries a lot. Then unfortunately we had to move north. My mom and I had a not so welcoming at a church where we moved to. I got lost in life shortly after that. I made A LOT of bad choices!!! I recent over the last six months decided to turn my life around and try a new path in life. I started coming back to the church and it has been the best thing in my life. The ward I am in now I love so much. I might not be the one to know everyone's names, but I sure would help anyone of them out if I can. My wall is slowly crumbing to allow happiness into my life. It feels great and honestly I feel that if it wasn't for the church and the missionaries I would still be look for happiness in the wrong places and hurting people in my life.

How I live my faith

I live the faith by going to church every Sunday as a family. I focus my life now around my family. Every nite we eat dinner as a family at the dining room table. We pray every nite together. We play every nite together, rather its inside or outside. My family and I have the missionaries over every Friday nite for dinner. It seems to bring us a lot closers. We have notice that when we put these things off or make excuses not to do to these things together as a family it truly effects our moods towards each other. I can be very challenging at times but honestly these simple things seem to make everyone in my family a lot happier then when we didn't.
