Hi I'm Ashley

I am from the Heart of Dixie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of three beautiful little girls. I enjoy reading, cooking, and sewing. Spending time with my family brings me the greatest joy!

Why I am a Mormon

About ten years ago I was really struggling to overcome some trials in my life. My best friend encouraged me to read the Book of Mormon. As I did this I began to understand what the atonement of Jesus Christ really is. When I make mistakes I can repent. When I am hurting I can be healed. I can forgive others. As we put our trust in Jesus Christ, what once seemed impossible becomes possible! The Book of Mormon is true. God loves each of us and wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

As a mother I try to set a good example for my children and for the children that I work with at church. I have learned so much from these little ones about my own relationship with Heavenly Father. In our home, my husband and I make it a point to pray often with our children. We read the scriptures with them and try to teach them that by keeping the commandments they will be blessed. I know this because when I keep the commandments I am blessed.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

When I think of the Mormon women who have come before me like my mother I think of someone who often sacrifices her own wants to meet the needs of those around her. She is full of faith and hope and charity. She loves the scriptures and she loves all things that are good and beautiful. She believes in eternal families. Mormons do believe in the equality of men and women. Our roles as men and women are different, but they are both equally and vitally important in God's plan for us to be happy.  Show more Show less
