Hi I'm Lindsey.

I love daffodils, mountains, and people.

About Me

I am currently attending a university, working towards a Humanities degree with an emphasis in English. I absolutely love art, music, dance, drama, but especially books. When I get back from work, I can be found curled up under blankets with a stack of novels to read. Ideas are always worth preserving and sharing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me happiness, peace, joy and comfort. From a young age I was taught the truths found in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Every time I read the words contained in those precious works, I can't help but feel uplifted and rejuvenated. One of my favorite principles taught by Christ in ancient and modern times is of eternal families. Because I am currently living away from home, I miss my family. But I know because of the ordinances found in the Holy Temple, my family will never be separated by death. My family will go on through the eternities. Christ loves me and prepared a way for me to be with my family forever. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints explains the plan for me to return to the presence of my Heavenly Father through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Being with my family, both present and future, is the most important goal of my life. I love the truths I have learned through the gospel.

How I live my faith

I want other people to recognize my commitment to Christ and His teachings. Christ said "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have love one to another" John 13:35. I try to show love to all those that I come in contact with. In my congregation, I have served in many capacities at different times. I have taught classes, lead music, played the piano, organized service opportunities and planned activities. In addition, every woman in our church is called as a visiting teacher. This means that I, along with my companion, visit other members of my congregation several times a month to share a gospel message. I am so thankful for the opportunity to become an intimate part of their lives. It is truly a way that I can show Jesus my commitment to His commandment to feed His sheep. I love that He trusts me with the responsibility to love and care for those precious members of His church.
