Hi I'm Elijah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I live in Southern California.I come from a family of five with two siblings. Im filipino and i dont speak tagalog but i understand it. I grew up having 15 surgeries from being born with a cleft lip and palate. I consider myself a timid person at times till you get to know me better. I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to music, sleeping, playing the piano, playing basketball, playing video games, watching NCAA Football and the NBA. I started playing the piano when i was 8 and continue to enjoy it. I play alot in the church and accompany my ward choir and some vocalists. I currently teach piano at Ste Claire Studios Keyboard Academy in Covina. I attend Mt. San Antonio Community College and am pursing to study Respiratory Therapy. I served as a full-time missionary in the Washington Kennewick mission which was the best two years for my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Im not ashamed to be a Mormon. I am a Mormon because my mom grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Philippines. My father soon joined the church after hearing the message of the gospel from my mom and the full-time missionaries. I am a Mormon because i have a testimony of these things- I believe in God who is my Heavenly Father and in His Son Jesus Christ. I felt God's love for me in my life. I felt the power of the Atonement of Christ. I have a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and how it was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I believe there is a prophet on the earth today. I believe the Bible and Book of Mormon to be the word of God and helps people to come closer to Christ. These things i know and believe to be true because of the promise made by Moroni in the last chapter in the Book of Mormon. "And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to keep the commandments of God. Faith involves action. Faith into action for me is daily prayer, scripture study, keeping the sabbath day holy by going to church and partake of the sacrament; a sacred ordinance. I live my faith by striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ of charity, obedience, humility, diligence, virtue, faith, hope, knowlege, and patience. Even after serving as a full-time missionary i continue to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those around me. My faith in Christ grows as a act upon these things.
