Hi I'm Carole

I'm a wife, a mom, a grandma, and a Mormon convert.

About Me

I am a Mormon convert. I grew up in Michigan, and didn't even know what a "Mormon" was until I moved to Arizona at the age of 25. I'm also a wife, mother (together we have 8 children), and grandmother.

Why I am a Mormon

My first job in Arizona was for a Mormon, and it didn't take me very long to learn that Mormon's are different! My boss didn't drink, smoke, or swear, and he was almost always happy. I only worked for him for about nine months but we remained friends with his family, and his wife and I became quite close. Over the next five years, they invited us to church a couple of times and I was very impressed with how many husbands had their arms around their wives, and they too looked very happy. I decided that I wanted what they had, but I didn't know how to get it. Eventually, my boss' wife gave me a Book of Mormon to read. I took Moroni's promise (Moroni 10:3-5) to heart and prayed to know if this book, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. I received an answer that was undeniable through the power of the Holy Ghost. That's one thing I love about this Church... The people don't try to convince you that what they believe is true, it's entirely up to you to study, pray, and find out for yourself... : )

How I live my faith

I try each day to draw closer to my Savior Jesus Christ by following His example. Some days I do okay, and others not so okay, but I keep trying. I've been on the parent-teacher organizations for my kids' schools, and I've worked in the children, teenagers, and the women organizations in our Church. That's another thing I love about this Church... We all work and serve together, and it feels good!

What is being a Mormon like?

Refreshing! When you're really trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ and do what's right even if you're not perfect at it it feels good, and when there's nothing to hide, it's very refreshing Show more Show less
