Hi I'm Randy

I'm a Mormon. I am Lucky to live in Idaho with many great outdoor experieinces at hand.

About Me

I am a father of four wonderful girls. We enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking and spending time as a family. I am an Idaho native and grew up enjoying the beatuful creations of our Heavenly Father I am a general contractor specializing in custom homes. I have worked in the housing market all my adult life one way or the other. I grew up framing, then did sales for a supply company before starting a partnership and moving into the building side. I have worked closley with the youth in our area as scout master and now an assistant disctrict commisioner. I have a passion for this great program and what it can do for young men. This also allows me more time in the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but as I have grown older and am raising my own children, I have come to realize how important the gospel and its teachings are. It gives me comfort to know who I am, where I came from and where I will go after this life. It gives me direction in raising my girls and the values the church instills in my children are so important in being good honest people in society. I know if they will follow the commandments and church standards then I dont have to worry about as many of the problems youth in out society deal with today. Keeping yourself free from addictive substances, morally clean, modest, etc. brings good clean living and fewer problems. I also know that family bonds can go on after this life and I want this for my family. I have come to know my savior better through living the standards of the church. As I strive to follow his teaching I become more receptive to his guiding spirtit in my life. The Spirit allows me to learn and understand the scriptures better and know the things I need to change in my life. I know the Bible is the Word of God and I also know the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. These two volumes of scripture testify together of Christ and his ministry. They unify and confirm the doctrine of Christ. The last reason I will share that I am a Mormon is because I know my Father in Heaven loves me. He loves me as he did the people in the Old Testiment and New Testiment. He sent prophets to these people to teach, dirrect and lead his church. He set up his church in the New Testiment with Prophets and apostles. He loves me the same and has once again established his church apon this Earth with living prophets and apostles. I know we have a living prophet, President Thomas S Monson. I know this because I have prayed about it. I have acted apon his council and I have felt the spirit testify to me. God loves us the same and he wants us to have the direction we need in our day to suceed and return to his precense some day.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith in all I do. I have learned alot of blessings come by simple obedience to the commandments of God. As I learn of him in the Scriptures and try to follow his example I feel closer to him. I follow the consel of our Living Prophet President Thomas S. Monsun. I know he is our prophet on the Earth today for our times. The counsel given through him protects us and our families. I want nothing more to be united with my family and my savior after this life. To come unto him I must know him. I read my scriptures daily and read the words of our prophet. These help me know how I should live. Daily prayer, morning and night, also help me gain a stronger relationship with my Father in Heaven. i can go to him for help, for direction. He hears us and loves us and will answer our prayers. I am grateful for a inspired program called Family Home Evening where we meet as a family each Monday night to learn of our savior as a family. I am thankful to have the responsibility to teach my children and this time to do so. It helps us discuss teh upcoming week, talk about issues in our family and most important a time to learn and feel the spirit as a family.
