Hi I'm Larry

I'm a blessed husband, father and grandfather. I'm a bean counter. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my best friend and wife Margie and have been married to her for over 20 wonderful years. I am blessed with seven wonderful children, their spouses, and four (soon to be six) grandchildren. I am glad to say that my family is a forever family. Margie and I combined families after the death of our spouses, and felt great strength from God as we joined two families into one. During my life I have lived in the Southwest, South, East, and Northwest regions of the United States, residing in a total of 13 different houses. In all these places I been, it has always been a blessing to live and associate with many wonderful people. I have been a CPA/accountant for more than 30 years, working in numerous positions, most recently as a CFO. The last ten years I have had the opportunity to teach accounting in college. It is thrilling to me to observe students learn and appreciate something I am passionate about. Life has been very good to me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born of goodly parents, and have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my life. I appreciate how its teachings help me know God, be less selfish, and inspire me to seek out the good in life. Because of it, I know that my family relationships will last forever. Because I am a Mormon, I am a much better, happier, and fulfilled person. But the lasting and foundational reason I am a Mormon is because I know God wants me to be. His Spirit has touched mine and forever burned within me a knowledge of the truth of the principles and teachings I accept by being Mormon. His full Gospel, His Spirit, His prophets are encompassed in it and make up its core. I am at peace because of it. I will be forever grateful to God for showing me the path I am on. I know it is the journey He wants me to take. The peace, joy, and fulfillment it offers are available to any of His other children who humbly seek for them.

How I live my faith

I enjoy living my faith by serving others. Right now I teach a Sunday school class to people just learning about God and His teachings. I also work closely with missionaries in helping others find the Gospel. Giving in these ways helps me to follow Christ's example and shows my love for Him.
