Hi I'm Britney Lavatai

I am a musician, a student, a daughter, a friend and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona, but raised in Canada. I attend college and major in audio recording. I love playing sports, music, making movies and dancing! I love reading gospel related books and pondering the things of eternity. I served a full-time mission in the Canada Toronto West Mission, best 18 months of my life so far. I love spending time with my family and friends and trying out new things. My dream is to create wholesome entertainment so that people may have a safe family alternative for the music and movies that are not so uplifting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have put these principles into action in my life and I know that they work and bring happiness. I have also received a testimony by faith and action together finished with a sure witness from the Holy Ghost which I cannot deny. I know God is real. He hears and answers our prayers. My prayers are answered on a daily basis. He has blessed me with so many wonderful experiences that have shown me that truly He knows me. I know Christ Lives. That His atonement or sacrifice he made for us to live is what motivates me to be a better human being and representative of him. He really did live, he really did die and live again so that all of us can. He really did pay the price of all of our pains, which if we allow Him too he can help us through all sorrow.

How I live my faith

I am a sunday school teacher. I love my calling because I feel I learn the most by teaching. I get search and ponder the word of God and share the principles that Christ taught and how we can apply them in our lives. I am the student president of a Group called Remembering Our Cultures. It is a multicultural song and dance group and our purpose is to share the gospel. We represent these five cultures: Native American, Asian, Polynesian, Latin, and African American. We strive to share the message that it is not the color of your skin that matters but the goodness of your heart. It is a quite a sight to see many different people unified in a purpose to inspire unity and acceptance among people while also celebrating each others differences and what we all can bring to strengthen each other. I have had many great experiences in ROC that truly can be called miraculous. For example one year our bus broke down several times, but through the power of prayer we made it to all the places we needed to be. We sing songs of praise and every time I know we are helping people to feel the goodness of life and the Love of God. There have been people who saw us perform and were so touched by the spirit that they sought out the missionaries and prepared to be baptized. All of the members of our group are students in university and sacrifice time and money to share the gospel in such a unique way. I have felt the hand of God lift us and guide us to those who are in need.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Britney Lavatai
I know God is real because of the people he sends to me. I have had so many of my prayers answered through other people. In a time of need I prayed for a friend and he blessed me with many people who shared their love with me. They probably thought about me just randomly one day and decided too send me a message on facebook saying that they were thinking of me, but they didn't know that on that day it was so needed to hear that I was loved. That has happened to me so many times. One time I prayed to find something I lost and it was found. One time I prayed to just make it through the day and while walking found a fortune on the ground which said "Your feet will find the way easy, if your heart will walk with them." I knew it was a personal message to encourage me because I knew in my heart I was doing my best. I know God is real when I see the Stars, it reminds me how little and insignificant I am compared to the universe yet I know I am God's daughter and he made the universe for me and you. I am in awe at the beautiful sunset which is different everyday. I see God in the children around us, they are so good and pure and remind me that we lived before. I Know God is real.
