Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mormon. I'm a stay at home mom and I live in Minnesota

About Me

I have a happy life. I love hanging out with my 3 kiddos, my husband and friends. I'm just a casual person, and don't see a need for a lot of formalities in life. Unfortunately, I spend a LOT of time cleaning, which I don't really enjoy. But, when I have a few minutes to myself, I love to do home improvement projects, build things, sew, garden and read fiction books. And I fully admit that I'm a huge nerd.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is pretty much my sanity in life - it's how I get by. Because I know who I am, and where I'm going, and that Heavenly Father loves me and watches over me, I can handle anything. I know that Heavenly Father has given us the keys to the true gospel, and that it will never lead me astray. I feel His hand guiding and uplifting me so very often, and I know I can ask for it whenever I need it. There are so many pieces of my life that would be chaos without this church. I owe Heavenly Father an infinite debt of gratitude for it, and for everything He's provided for me and my family through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I LOVE this church. Honestly, I wouldn't be who I am without it!

How I live my faith

Currently, in the Church, and for the last couple of years, I've been serving as a teacher for kids ages 9 and 10. I love getting to know the special children who will be the future stars of this world! They really are stars already. Their goodness and intelligence is amazing! They teach me plenty. My mantra is that 'we're all just doin' the best we can'. The Savior would want us to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and I try to remember that. Especially because I really want people to do the same for me when I say and do stupid things that I don't really mean. Jesus Christ is who I try to be like. And furthermore, it's comforting knowing that because of Him, I can repent and change when I'm not exactly perfect.
