Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm from a small town in Washington State. I've worked in banking most of my life. I became a Mormon when I was 16 years old.

About Me

I didn't graduate from college until I was 31 years old, but I'm glad I finally finished! Between work and reading my favorite novels I love spending time with my small family. My wife and I have been married for almost seven years and our son will be four soon! He was born three months early to the day and there were a few weeks there when we thought we might lose him, but now he's thriving. Sometimes I worry about being the best provider and protecter for my wife and son, and I really love being able to call on Heavenly Father's help to more effectively meet these awesome responsibilities.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine going through life without the knowledge that I can be with my family even after we die. When I joined the church about 16 years ago it was because of the peace it brought to my mind and my heart. That peace of mind comes from knowing that my life has an important purpose. What the missionaries taught me felt very familiar to me: it felt like home. My parents and siblings didn't understand at the time but most of them eventually joined the church too. When my mother passed away from breast cancer about two years ago the knowledge that we can all live together again someday was a great comfort to us.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my ward! Everyone is so loving to me and my little family. I learn so much from my service as a substitute Sunday School teacher. The chance to be spiritually nourished every week is fundamental. The blessings I get from doing my best to follow God's commandments are so amazing that I feel like I don't have the room to recieve them all.
