Hi I'm Lisa Dianne

I'm a Mormon. I have an amazing testimony of this church and a great faith. I have been extremely blessed thru this faith.

About Me

I was born into the church but became inactive in my mid teens. I am now over 50 and in the last couple of years have become active again. I have had struggles with marriages, alcohol, drugs, smoking, and pretty much every other trouble you can think of. So, I had a lot of changes to make upon returning to the church. With the power of the Priesthood, faith and strength of the Sisters, I was able to attend the temple for myself May 8th 2010. I know in my heart my Heavenly Father loves me and ALL his children and we can all repent and receive forgiveness and return to him. By truly living the gospel we can obtain all things that are important. In the last couple of years I realize my challenges are more easily conquered and I am so much happier in my life. Even though I have a smaller house, make less money and am not working in my industry I have so many other blessing I have a hard time counting them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I know without a doubt our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and has a plan to provide us the means to be happy. I also know the Priesthood has been restored to the earth, the same Priesthood from the time of Christ. I know we have a true and living Prophet that leads us and loves us and receives revelation from God to helps us with what we need to be doing and what we need to understand. I know if we pray honestly and ask for the truth we will be give the answers we need. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and if you read it and pray about the truthfulness of this book, you will receive a confirmation of the truth found in those pages. Because it took me over 50 years to understand the power I have now with my testimony it is so special to me. I might be a slow learner but now that I am able to live the gospel and see the difference in my life I have no doubt at all this church is true and I am doing what my Heavenly Father wants me to do.

How I live my faith

The first thing I do is attend my Sunday meetings. I keep the word of wisdom even though I really miss drinking coffee. I accept church assignments and try and do the best I can with every task. I try to treat the people in my life and those I meet as Christ would treat them. I read the scriptures - this is a hard one for me as I try to read a little every night not always successful but that is my goal. I am trying to attend a family home evening each Monday evening. I try and be a positive example of how Mormons behave.
