Hi I'm Jared

I'm from Pennsylvania. I'm going to school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family and friends are important to me. When I'm not in college hitting the books I'm always doing something fun with them. It might be anything from a concert of the latest and greatest band, rock climbing, or chatting it up around the kitchen table. I'm definitely a people person.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it answers all my questions. Growing up in the church I was surprised to find out everyone didn't believe the same things I did. Even more of a shock was finding out for myself what I truly believed. Every question that I had was answered through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know this church is true. Christ lives and loves each of us. I am a son of a Heavenly Father, who has a plan for me, and I look forward to returning to Him.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm on a two year mission for the church and it's been an amazing experience so far. I help out everyone I can. Whether it's mowing someone's lawn, teaching a young man how to tie a necktie, or sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. My life at home, which includes college, dating and my family, is on hold for the moment. I spend everyday during these two years helping others come unto Christ through helping them build faith in Him, teaching the steps of repentance, baptizing those who are willing to do so and anything else that the people here need.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jared
Ask God. It's sounds simple but to get an answer you have to be prepared spiritually first. You have to really want to know if it's true and be willing to act on the answer. The answer will come through a feeling or thought inspired by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost testifies of truth. Feelings of peace, comfort, joy, and happiness can be a sign. If you've ever done something for someone without asking, I'd associate it with that feeling. Knowing it was a good thing. Remember though that answers come on the Lord's time. If you don't get an answer right away, it's okay. Continue to search in the scriptures and in your heart. It will come. Show more Show less
