Hi I'm Bill

I'm a Mormon. I am a registered nurse in cardiac surgery. I am married with two grown children

About Me

I have lived all my life in Canada. First in northern Ontario then for the last 40 years on the west coast of British Columbia. I have mostly lived in small towns but now live in the Greater Vancouver area. I enjoy many out door activities. Hiking, bicycling, motorcycles, and a variety of sports. I play the bagpipes and have been a member of a few local bands. Of course the time I spend with family is a great joy to me. We have two wonderful sons and two grand daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life and have always had faith in God and Jesus Christ. I could have taken different paths over the years that would have been destructive. However, I have found the principles in the gospel have been a solid foundation and guide for me. Living gospel principles has seemed difficult at times but it has always brought joy in the long term. I feel fortunate to have Jesus Christ as my Savior and to have the guidance of modern day revelation that addresses current issues, concerns and pitfalls.

How I live my faith

Because of the gospel in my life I try to treat those around me as I would like to be treated. I help out in our community and neighborhood when ever I can. I have served in the church in various volunteer position over the years. For example in youth, scout and administrative positions. I attend church as often as I can but shift work can sometimes get in the way. In our home we have regular prayer and read from the scriptures. Because of the gospel, family life has been more of a focus than other outside interests. Living the Lords law of health has been a blessing to me as well.
