Hi I'm Steve

I have six terrific kids. I live in Idaho on a farm. I'm happily married. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to stay physically fit. I'm preparing to enter my first triathlon. History, especially ancient history, facinates me. I speak Italian, some Spanish, and am learning Latin. My wife and I spent 10 days in Italy last year for our 20th wedding anniversary. We can't wait to go back. I'm trying to learn the art of farming...I still have a lot to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

My decision to be a Mormon came when I was 8 years old. Although very young, I knew it was the right thing to do. Over the years, my testimony has grown stronger as I have tried to live the gospel and follow the Savior. The seed planted when I was a young boy has grown into a solid tree of testimony which today is a great source of peace, happiness, and joy. I can't begin to imagine what life would be like without the testimony and knowledge that I have of God's great plan of happiness for His children. I love how it has helped me be a better husband, father, and friend. It has tempered me. It has made me a better man.

How I live my faith

My most important responsibility is to my family. I live my faith by trying to be a good example to my children, teaching them the gospel, and by being active in their lives. I believe families can be together forever and anything worth keeping that long is worth our very best effort. We attend our Sunday church services as a family each week and try to spend meal times together as much as we can. As the father of our family it is my responsibility to see that we have daily family scripture study and family prayer and weekly family nights together. A family that prays/plays together stays together!
