Hi I'm Mike

I'm the youngest child of an awesome family. I love the outdoors. I like big trucks and loud guns. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Mike. I grew up in Utah. I'm the youngest in my family of 7 children. When I was born, I had the option of being tall or good looking and I decided there were too many tall people in the world. I was also born with a terrible sense of humor that few in the world understand. I love being outside and doing anything that gets my adrenaline pumping. I'm a soccer fan and played it through high school. When I can, I still enjoy playing it with friends. My newest obsession is hunting. I also love shooting guns, offroading, riding motorcyles, and being with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. Growing up, I never really doubted the things that I had been taught. As I went through my teenage years, there were different times that I knew I was closer to God than other times. Thanks to the Lord, my wonderful family, church leaders, and friends, I managed to keep my head above water. During my senior year of high school, I made some resolves to try and live the way I knew I should. What followed was amazing. I really began to feel the love of God in my life. The main reason why I'm a Mormon is because I've felt God's power in my life, and those feelings are everything to me.

How I live my faith

I try to be a decent person. I probably fail miserably most days, but it's still an attempt. Right now I'm a missionary for the church and am loving every minute of it. It's definately the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, but it's something that's forever changed my life for the better, and I'm very grateful for that. I love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Mike
The Mormon lifestyle is to try and let everything that's good into our lives and everything that's bad out of our lives. That only comes as one follows the example of Jesus Christ. I wouldn't change my lifestyle for anything. Many people think it would be very difficult, but it's not. In fact, it brings me more peace and joy than anything else. I still get to be who and am and do the things I enjoy doing without the negative effects of sin. Show more Show less
