Hi I'm Maile

Six children, 1 dog, 2 cats and 5 chickens - life is good! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 6 children. I homeschool, garden, teach piano, find great pleasure in reading the classics, attending plays and concerts, hiking, practicing yoga, sewing, making my own "chocolate soap", knitting and making artisan bread that is to die for!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. Being a Mormon has always given me a purpose for the choices I have made and continue to make on a daily basis. The doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the prophets and apostles who lead and guide this church have become a personal compass for me to follow and pattern my life after. I know I am a better person because of my membership and activity in the Church. I know that there is a Heavenly Father who is aware of and loves each of us. Jesus Christ is His son and it is through His grace and atonement that we will find the true happiness that all of us seek.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the youth in the Church. We meet together each Sunday and one day during the week. We learn together about the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ and set goals to become more like Him. We plan and organize together opportunities to serve, learn new skills, associate with one another and have fun! On a monthly basis I also visit women in my community. These visits allow each of us to build great friendships as we share with one another our beliefs, joys, sorrows and needs.
