Hi I'm Chad

I'm a basketball lover, a video gamer, and a Mormon.

About Me

I love all sports, but especially basketball. I also enjoy video games. I love to be outdoors. I have hiked from rim to rim in the Grand Canyon in one day and any hiking is awesome.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, and have always grown up within. As I grew up, I always believed in what I was being taught. But I came to the point where I needed to know for myself. My first real testimony came when I was in high school. I was asked to give a short history of the Prophet Joseph Smith, and at the end I had written my testimony down...and I simply wrote I beleive that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I beleived it cause I was always taught it. When it came time for me to share the history, I got to the end and was bearing my testimony and I felt the Spirit confirm in my heart that Joseph Smith was a prophet of the Lord, and I was able to say that I knew. I have had many experiences since then, and the happiness that comes in my life and the life of my family and friends through the Gospel is something that I always want to be in my life and the life of my future family.

How I live my faith

I strive to serve others within my ward. I presently have no calling, but when I do have one I strive to fulfill it to the best of my ability.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

The Bible is the word of God by the mouth of His holy prophets. It contains, as does the Book of Mormon, the fulness of the Gospel. The difference between the two is that the Bible was written by holy prophets and apostles in the Middle East, mainly in the are of Jerusalem and nearby, and the Book of Mormon was written by prophets in the Americas. We believe that living by the standards and teachings in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon will bring us back to our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
