Hi I'm Richard

I'm just an average guy. A run-of-the-mill CPA. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an accountant with a wife and four children. I love to spend time with my family, particularly in the outdoors. I waterski in the summertime, snow ski and snowmobile in the wintertime, and watch college football in the fall.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, and was taught gospel principles by my parents. As I grew up and began to study more, I prayed to know if what I had been taught was true. I was able to learn for myself that it was. Since then, it has become clear to me that the true path to happiness comes by following Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to start every day by spending time praying and studying the scriptures. This, more than anything, helps me to connect with God on a daily basis. I try to apply what I learn each morning as I go through the day. Even though there are chaotic days sometimes, I feel so much peace when I try to stay close to God.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Richard
We believe that we are saved by grace, after we do everything we can do. God asks us to give him our very best effort in keeping his commandments. He asks us to repent and follow Jesus Christ, giving our whole heart to him. Yet, no matter how much we do, salvation would be impossible without Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful that God sent his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.   Show more Show less
