Hi I'm Sean

I am from Texas. I love sports and music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Chicago but am really a Texan at heart. I am studying Computer Engineering. I am a huge sports fan. Mostly in basketball and football but I essentially just love the competition. I like music a ton and love finding new stuff all the time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have grown up with it's influence in my life. I love it. My life has been so much good. Even during really hard times, the strength I have received from family and friends in the church of been irreplaceable. The knowledge and perspective I have from having a prophet and reading from the Book of Mormon is something I pull from every day. When I was about 7 years old I was diagnosed with leukemia and didn't have a great chance of making it through. It was pretty scary times for my family and I but it was something that helped to define my perspective on life. Throughout the whole process I had people praying for me and fasting for me. I somehow knew through all of it that things were going to be just fine. This comfort I feel came from the understanding that my family was an eternal family. Our connection as a family wasn't going to end after this life and I knew that God would make things turn all right. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us very much and that if we just rely on him we won't have to worry about what we are suppose to do. He'll take care of us. We just have to follow the Spirit when it prompts us to do something and then wait patiently for whatever the Lord has in plan for us.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. I learned a lot on my two year mission to the California Ventura Mission. One of the most important things that I've brought home with me is a desire to read and understand the scriptures. I love reading from the scriptures every day. I just get so pumped to go out and do something after I read every morning. I wish I had realized this earlier because then I wouldn't have missed so many opportunities early on in my life. I love the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Both have brought me peace and understanding when I need it and I know both are true books. The Book of Mormon has a played a very important part in my life. As I read from it's pages my testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and my desire to be more like Him increases each time. I know that as I drawer closer to the Savior through regularly praying, reading scriptures, and going to church I will have opportunities to follow the Spirit and help someone else. That's religion in it's purest form.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

YES! Isn't that awesome? This life is not the only place where we get to be with our families. We can be with our spouse and our children forever. We believe that families are eternal in nature and will continue on after this life if we hold out true and faithful. We believe that marriage is meant for much more then "till death do you part". There is so much more to life and the hereafter and it can all be learned through loving and serving our family. Show more Show less
