Hi I'm Marlese

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 2 fun little boys. I have been married for almost 4 years and love my Husband so much. I feel blessed to have the amazing family that I do. I am a stay at home mom and get the chance to laugh with my kids all day long. They bring me so much joy. I graduated with a BS in Social Work from BYU-Idaho. I love to be outside as well as talk to friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Morman, however, I had to find out for myself whether this was what I wanted to continue to do or have in my life. When I was in High School is when I took the time to find out for myself that the church was true. I talked to many friends and family members to understand their views. I feel like I went through a few months of not understanding what I was feeling. I felt like I was unable to feel the Spirit. One Fast Sunday I fasted to have the Holy Ghost with me and to feel its comfort. That night I felt the most wonderful feeling as I said my prayers and I realized that I had had the gift of the Spirit there with me all along, but I was expecting it to feel different. It is a feeling that I cannot describe but it is a wonderful feeling and I never want to loose that. It helps build my confidence of who I am and what I represent. I love the Gospel and I received so much joy from it. It has blessed me multiple times in my life. I know this Church is true. I know the Book of Morman is a true book that helps us become more like our Savior. I know if we follow the teachings from the Scriptures and listen to the counsel of our Prophet we can find joy in our lives and we can live with our Father in Heaven again. This is not a church for one who wants everything given to them, but is a church where the more you do and can serve the more you gain as an individual.

How I live my faith

I am a member 24/7. I try to represent the church in all that I do and say. I try to be an example to all those I meet. The Gospel brings so much joy into my life I can't help but be happy. I attend all three hours of church each week and am excited to be there and learn. I am not in school anymore so to have the chance to learn and continue to learn each week is exciting for me. I get way more out of church if I come prepared, by reading the lesson beforehand, and praying to have a open heart and mind. I am involved in our ward. I am on the committee that plans the one a month activities for Relief Society. I am also currently an Achievement Day Leader, for the young girls in the ward. We try and hold Family Home Evening once a week so we as a family can learn and grow closer to one another. We try and have dinners together as well as hold family prayers. I keep a journal and have started a journal for each of my kids.
