Hi I'm Adrian

I spend time outdoors, I play the piano, I love my family and they love me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I call myself a home-mom. I have four kids and lots of their friends that keep me busy...sometimes I get a kid overload and unceremoniously send them all home, "GO NOW." I feel that my job is the most important thing I could possibly be doing, and I am hoping that my kids are learning to make good choices in following the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because it is truly the way to happiness and peace in this life and in the world to come.

Why I am a Mormon

The Book of Mormon is an incredible book that teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ in a way which is easy to understand. Amidst stories of murder, war and fire you find conversion, dedication, and sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures to my kids. I go to church. I help out when I see people in need.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Adrian
The first thing you have to understand about the Priesthood is that it is not an office of power, the Priesthood is a calling to service. So whoever is thinking women are below men--Priesthood doesn't make you high and mighty, important or influential--it turns you into a humble servant. We believe that God created men and women with specific purposes each, purposes that are meant to compliment one another. Just like in a good marriage relationship, the man takes certain responsibilities and the woman others. God is a God of order. He has set it up this way. We don't know why men were chosen for this duty instead of women, but really it doesn't matter, and as a woman, I can say that I am glad it is the way it is. Show more Show less
