Hi I'm Marissa

I am a wife, mother, and an avid learner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 6 and I am realizing quickly that I can multi-task. I love to read almost anything I can get my hands on. I love to learn and when something piques my interest I research it. I have lots of hobbies: photography, cooking, refinishing furniture, interior decorating, reading, gardening, and cleaning. I am not perfect at any of my hobbies but they challenge and relax me. I love my husband. He is my best friend. I truly am blessed to be able to spend eternity with the man that loves me and who is so fun to be around. We share a lot of the same hobbies so we have lots to talk about. One thing we love to do is plan our future together whether it be a home improvement project, goals or even just the next 20 minutes. I love my family and being a mother. I take joy in watching my children learn and I love to watch their silly antics and hear the funny things they come up with. I love teaching them new things and helping them explore their world. Teaching and raising my children to love life, and love the Lord is the greatest blessing I could ever imagine.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members and growing up they taught me to believe in Jesus Christ. As I got older I decided to learn more for myself and the more I learned the more amazed I became at all that Christ has done for me. It means more to me now that I have a family and as I watch my kids grow that I have a guide for my life and theirs that makes us happy and keeps us together.

How I live my faith

I have been fortunate to be able to interact with and teach children of all ages. I love how little kids are so eager to learn and have such faith.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

The role of the husband and wife in a family is to support each other in whatever needs to be done to support the family as a whole. The father's main role is to provide for the physical needs such as shelter and the mother's role is to provide for the emotional needs as well as a safe and happy home. Both teach their children how to be good and kind people and about Christ. Show more Show less
