Hi I'm Dan

I'm a Mormon. I am orginally from Oregon.

About Me

I am a retired U.S.Air Force Msgt E-7. I have been to 6 countries and 38 of the 48 states. As I grew up I fell in love with snow capped mountains and tall evergreen trees. I currently reside in the Rocky Mountains. Currently I hold a Ham Radio license. I feel that I have been greatly blessed to do and see things that I dreamed about as a child. I enjoy history about our armed forces. I have one son and I wish I could teach him the things my Father taught me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was Baptised when I was 8 and was ordained a Deacon at 12. I wasn't able to continue in the church as it was over 60 miles from me as a youth. After 40+ year absense from the church I found myself calling out for the missionarys I had seen a few days earlier, because I need to get my life in order. I was able to meet with the Ward Bishop and he invited me to return to church and gave me directions. As I walked into the church the following Sunday I felt entirely out of place. Members of the ward and the Bishop made me really feel welcomed and that I had never left. I sat in the back of the chapel and as services begain I started to hear things my mother tried to teach me and the songs she always sang. I begin to cry because i started to remember those things and a very strong warm and peaceful feeling fell over me and I knew instantly I need to rejoin this church. Since I have I have been blessed beyond belief. Since the First Sunday I went to church I have only missed one Sunday service and its been 7.5 years......I just can't seem to get enough of it!

How I live my faith

I try to participate in all service activities that come along. In and out of church. I love being a home teacher because I get more in return than I have given. I have given up alot of things that are bad for you like coffee, alcohol, anger, swearing and I really feel better doing it. I stay actively involved with the scriptures daily. One thing that is very neat is to be able to answer questions that are put to me and help people understand what they need to know about HIS gospel.
