Hi I'm Joanie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three little kiddos, and I work part-time as a physical therapist.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church at age 20. I am mormon because it makes me happy. When I learned and lived the gospel I found more beauty in the world around me. I felt greater love for all of Heavenly Father's children. I felt a new hope and potential for myself in this life and in the next.

How I live my faith

We attend church services as a family every Sunday. We try to keep our wiggling toddlers reverent and quiet. My husband and I have taken our turn at my different roles in the church. We've helped in the nursery, or taught sunday school for the young children. We've been in charge of planning activities like dances and dinners. Right now I teach a lesson once a month for the women.

Are Mormons Christians?

In 11th grade I first became curious about the church when some of my classmates would argue whether or not Mormons were Christians. I decided to write my 11th grade term paper on the subject. It was obvious to me after briefly familiarizing myself with the faith, that Mormons are Christians that the Mormon religion centers upon Faith in Jesus Christ.  Show more Show less
