Hi I'm Josh

I own a small business that helps seniors in their homes love to help people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite things to do are play with my 2 daughters and play sports. I've lived in 6 different states, traveled to over 45 states and 15 different countries (I guess I like traveling also). I love business -- studied it in undergrad and as an MBA student. I enjoy learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion has been a journey since I was a kid raised as a Mormon. The highlights are that journey have been receiving answers to prayer and help through difficult times. Most memorable, although it was my first distinct experience, was praying to ask God if the Book of Mormon was true. I was around 13 at the time and I had read through the book on my own. I felt it was the truth, and I also was taught that it was true. However, it was important to know directly from God. I vividly remember having a strong, peaceful feeling that it was absolutely true. I've always relied upon that experience to remind myself that this church is true, and even that God is real. Additionally, I've prayed many times for help during difficult periods of life. Looking back, I can see Heavenly Father's answers to those pleas for help. I'm grateful He answers prayers.

How I live my faith

I teach 7 and 8 year olds during sunday school class on Sundays. They are a wild bunch...noisy and full of energy. I enjoy speaking with them about the simple things that make church feel so good each week. It's rewarding to get involved and to help the local congregation function. It makes me better!

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Josh
It can be difficult to believe in a living prophet, but that has always been the case. In both the old testament and the new testament, people quickly doubted the living prophet while believing in past ones. For example, most everyone who rejected Jesus as a prophet and the Son of God actually believed in Isiah and Moses. The same is true today it can be difficult to believe in a current prophet. However, the same way that believers know that Jesus is the Christ, through a feeling in their hearts, we can know that there is a true prophet on the earth today. Through prayer and those feelings, I do believe that there is a prophet alive today. I also know that God loves us and wants to guide us as much today as anytime in history if we are willing to follow Him. Show more Show less
