Hi I'm Miguel

I was born in Uruguay, raised in Germany, and served an LDS Mission in Greece. I now live in the US, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Since I had the opportunity to live in Uruguay, Germany, Greece and the US, I am fluent in German, Spanish, Greek and English. I love and appreciate different cultures, and if I could, I would travel much more. I have been married for 15 years, and earlier on in our marriage, we had the opportunity to live in Germany. My wife is fluent in German as well, and we have been trying to teach our two children different languages as well as the importance of respecting others and their cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church, I was not sure I had a testimony. I left the church when I was a teenager, to try to find myself and whether I truly believed what my parents had taught me. When I was in my early twenties, I had some experiences that changed my life, and helped me recognize what I was missing, and that all I was missing was to be found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints. The more I understood who my Father in Heaven is, the better I understood who I was. My Savior never left me, but I was the one who left Him. The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is so simple and pure, that it's hard not to believe. All my worldly experiences were a confirmation to me that the Gospel is true and that this Church has it all. The Bible and the Book of Mormon complement each other, and both testify that Jesus is the Christ and that through Him we can return to our Heavenly home. We have a living Prophet as in old times that guide us. If any of this is true or not, can be found out through personal prayer. If Heavenly Father exists, He will answer your prayers, as He did mine. Just ask Him.

How I live my faith

Living your faith is an everyday thing. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ wants us to learn about them, and remember Them everyday. The tools They have given us are simple, and they help to keep myself in check everyday. I start every day with a prayer, read in the scriptures, and try to help others when I can. I, like many other members in the church are assigned tasks, that we do freely without pay. These tasks are called callings and most of them constitute of serving church members and the community. Through my calling in the church, I have the opportunity to help others, members and non members. My favorite part of my calling is to visit with people. Talk to them, and let them know we care for them, and more then that, Heavenly Father cares for them.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Miguel
If I ever doubted there is a God, I would only need to look at my children to erase any doubt. The miracle of life in every aspect is a testimony to me that there is a God. Everything on Earth, and how everything works together, is a testimony to me that we and this Earth were created by a supreme being, our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
