Hi I'm Ashleigh

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge fan of music. You can usually find me rocking out to The Beatles at any given time of the day. I also enjoy dancing, playing guitar, karaoke, seeing live concerts and singing. I enjoy spending time with my folks and my siblings. I love spending time amongst star gazing lilies under a well lit sky. Ping pong challenges, rollerskating anywhere, playing chess, writing poetry, watching and playing baseball, gardening, reading, listening to peoples stories and making people laugh are just some of the things that make life super fun for me. I am have a BA in Communications. I currently have a job coaching high school softball and from time to time I give pitching lessons on the side. Coaching teenagers is super interesting, challenging and rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I am blessed I suppose. I was born into the church and baptized when I was eight years old. When I graduated from high school in 2000, I started looking at the world differently. I went to a school that provided very different beliefs, people and ideas than what I was used to. This intrigued me. I explored a variety of different things, picked up a few vices and claimed to be Agnostic, even though I always believed in Christ being the Son of God and God as my go to guy! In may of last year I was blessed with an amazing spiritual experience that almost killed me and definitely changed my entire perspective on EVERYTHING. Jesus let me know that I needed to go back to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So I did. Reading the scriptures has been a wonderful blessing for me and The Lord always seems to provide me with the comfort, trials and messages and manna for my soul. I am so grateful to be back in the church and for the gifts and blessings of having the Holy Ghost...and my faith, which I acknowledge to be the biggest blessing of them all.

How I live my faith

I am not the best participator in church events and have failed at executing leadership in a few of the callings that I have been given. I am starting to become more active in the Single Adult Ward and hope that by making some new friends and attempting to live the Gospel the best way I can, I can overcome my weaknesses and be more in the mind set of servitude. I would some day really love to have a family of my own, for I believe it is so important. People often ask me what I would like to do when I "grow up"? Who do I want to be? What do I want to be? The only answer that make sense to me is... I would like very much to someday be a Mother and a Wife.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Missionaries share a message about Jesus Christ and His Atonement for all people. They teach about our Heavenly Father’s great plan of salvation, which allows all people the opportunity to return to Him. Show more Show less
