Hi I'm Nate

I'm adopted. I'm a hip hop dancer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All of my sibling are adopted as well. I have a half Thai sister and a brother and a sister from Haiti. Before my mission, I went to college for two years and plan on returning. I love to travel and have been to over a dozen countries. I have been to Mexico and Haiti to provide service for the people that live there. I love working with children. I have tutored many and helped them learn and grow in fun environments that have good values. I love any and all kinds of sports. I love going camping and just the outdoors in general. I love music and dancing. I love watching movies as well. I love to sing in the shower, in the car, around my friends and hopefully one day make it to the point where I can sing in front of more than just a few people. I almost forgot that I love to sleep!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints simply because I want to be with my family forever. The only way that is even possible is through the priesthood power that has been restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith and the temples dotting the world. I am also a member because it truly makes me happy. I have never been happier than when I have followed God's commandments. I have never been happier then when I serve others and am striving to be like Jesus Christ. I experience so much peace and hope knowing God's plan for me and my family. In a world of changing values, heartache, pain, suffering, and hardship I know that this life is only temporary and that it is preparing me to live in my Father's kingdom. I have learned so much from my previous experiences and trials. All of the things I have learned have made me a better person and have made me more cheerful about the future. I was born and raised in the Church, but just like everyone else I had to come to know for myself that it was true. I know it because of how I feel when I read the Book of Mormon. That book and the things it contains has changed my life forever. When I read it I feel like I am in my own little world, no care or concern that I currently have enters into my mind. I am totally at peace with myself and the world around me. It brings me joy and always puts me in a good mood, no matter the mood I was in previously. And that's why I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. I have been called of God to serve a mission for two years, which allows me to teach others what I know has blessed my life and what will bless theirs. I get to teach good values to everyone around me, including the youth who grow up in difficult times. I live my faith by keeping God's commandments and avoiding many things of the world that try to bring us down. Avoiding these things allows me to be more sensitive to the Spirit in my life, which guides me in all that I do. I am constantly searching for ways to feel the Spirit. I attend church every week and go to the activities that my ward puts on. I study the scriptures and pray every day to help me live in this world but not of it. I live my faith by being the best example I can be of a good person. I want others to see that in me and to feel of the joy that I experience every day. I want others to see Christ in me.
