Hi I'm Nate M.

I love rock music. I love the guitar. I'm a total goof-ball. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play guitar! I love listening to music and playing music too. I read and write short stories, play video games, and hang out with friends. I worked at Mcdonalds for three years, and I'm planning on going to college to major in Music Theory, and Special Education with the goal of becoming a Special Education teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, but after my parents divorced I stopped going for a period of time. I had a short period of re-activation when I was a teenager, but I stopped going once more when I became a high school student. It wasn't until my senior year, when this girl I was dating asked me why I stopped going to church in the first place. Never before had anyone asked me that. They always said "Well you need to start going!" But no one had taken the time to find out why I really stopped going. The honest answer is that I didn't know for sure myself. I started to read the Book of Mormon, just kind of reading through it not really paying attention to the words. One day, I had a feeling that I was only reading the Book of Mormon and going to church so that I could have a relationship with her. I got on my knees, and prayed to my Father in Heaven, asking for answers as to what I needed to do to make sure I was doing these things for myself. I got the impression, that I needed to prepare to serve a mission. I immediately got scared, I couldn't give away two years of my life! After much more thought and fervant prayers on the matter, it became my goal to serve a mission. I love this gospel. The healing power of the Atonement is real, and I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love each and every single person on the planet, and they know us personally. They want what's best for us, and want us to succeed in life. I also testify that Heavenly Father hears our prayers, and answers them. It may not always be the answer we want, but it is the answer we need. I know these things are true, and they mean the world to me. I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in church activities and in all the Sunday meetings. I also try to read my scriptures everyday and pray morning and night before leaving my house. By doing the small simple things in the gospel, I've found that it's so much easier to walk away from temptation and continuing to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I am also serving a mission currently, and I love it!
