Hi I'm Amber

I'm an Army Wife And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of a beautiful daughter, and an army wife. I love to bass fish, read, and go camping. I would like to eventually finish a degree in Sociology.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I grew up as a young Child in a Southern Baptist Church, and while I loved going to Church every Sunday with my entire family .I never felt whole, there was questions no one seemed to be able to answer for me, and the ones they did never made sense or felt right to me. I just never could find the faith to believe what they were telling me and it made me fall away from religion and and church all together by the time I was in my early teens. Somewhere, and for some reason I got angry when it came to speaking of God because I felt I had been lied to all my life about him until I met my husband. He was raised in the Church and seemed to have such a peaceful, calm understanding of our Father. He could answer any question I threw at him. He and his Family were so kind and loving and knowledgeable, and the feeling I felt when talking to them was awesomely overwhelming. I did as they asked me too, Ask of God. I got on my knees and faithfully and humbly asked God to show me the way, to please tell me what I should do , and no sooner as finishing my prayer there was a knock at my door and it was the Missionaries. We had one or two lessons but I guess I still wasn't ready to accept the truth fully. It took me MONTHS to do this though because for some reason I was scared of what my family would think, what my friends would think. Finally I called on the missionaries again. I had finally found the whole truth. They asked me to be baptized after our first meeting. We had our lessons and May 7th 2011 I was baptized by my Father-in-law. the feeling of going into that water and being submerged for all the past transgressions of my dark past no longer weighed on me. No longer was I THAT girl, I was no longer the good example of a bad apple. If could MAKE everyone choose this path I would because it is the best feeling in the World. I am very proud to say I am Mormon and Thank God daily for his blessing me with THE Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to show an outwardly example to my community.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You talk with the missionaries, then follow James 15 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." Verse 6 was important for me as well "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." It's that Simple "Ask of God"   Show more Show less
