Hi I'm Meagan

I'm a wife, a sister, a friend, a first grade teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a first year first grade teacher and I am so excited to be living my dream of teaching young minds. I married my best friend/husband in the Temple and we are now sealed for time and all eternity. I want to have a family and I want to raise them in the Gospel that I know is true with all my heart. I rely on God every day to get me through the things I have to do. I am praying always and I feel the strength of the Lord when I do so.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because that is how I was raised and I learned for myself as a teenager that what I had been taught was true. At eight years old I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a teenager I truly studied and read the Book of Mormon, took Moroni's Challenge and prayed to gain a testimony of this wonderful book. I got an overwhelming feeling that it was true and that I was doing the things I was supposed to. Ever since that experience as a 13 year old, I have exponentially grown spiritually. I learn daily just how much God loves me and all of the wonderful blessings He has given me. I feel such peace in His church. I have learned so many things there that help me throughout my life. I know that I can go to Him with any of my problems or trials and He will give me comfort and the strength I need to get through it. He is more than willing to help, but you have to ask and let Him into your life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best example of a Mormon that I can be. Sure I make mistakes but I know I can repent and fix it. I have previously helped in my wards as an organ player for our meetings, a pianist for our Primary children and as a Relief Society teacher which is a class for women that we hold during our Sunday meetings. I have loved each and every one of those callings, I grew so much from all of them. I know that people are watching me constantly so I need to be making sure that I am representing the Mormon faith to the best of my abilities so that people can see just how wonderful the Gospel is. My friend who is not a Mormon once asked me why I was so happy all of the time. The truth is because I know that the Gospel is true, I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and wants to help me.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored to the earth through a man named Joseph Smith. He was a simple farm boy who had a question. At the age of 14 he prayed in a grove of trees by his home in Palmyra, New York and asked God which church he should join. Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ physically appeared to Joseph. He was told that none of the churches had the full truth and was instructed to join none of them. After a time Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon from the gold plates and was given Priesthood keys through Peter, James and John. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that with all of my heart. He was placed here on this earth to do a great and marvelous work. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Mormons believe that family is the central unit to God's plan. Everything we learn starts with the family. Currently, the family unit is under attack and the strong foundation it once was is crumbling quickly. We believe that families can be together forever. Show more Show less

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes! And YES! The family is central to Heavenly Father's plan. The bonds as a family are some of the strongest bonds ever. A husband and wife who truly love each other will want to be together forever and will want their children to be with them forever too. This is possible! Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

The husband is to provide and protect the family and the wife is meant to nourish, care for and teach. Husbands and wives have different roles but one role is not less than another. They are different but equally as important in the raising of a healthy and loving family. Show more Show less
