Hi I'm Roger

I love to make guitars and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of six children three boy and three girls. My sweetheart and I have been married for thirty-six years. I have nine grandchildren that I do not see as much as I would like since they live far away from us. I love guitars both electric and acoustic and when I have the chance I like to build them from scratch. Working with wood to build a fine instrument is an exciting experience. I work in the medical device industry as an operational executive, I like knowing that my work helps other people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fifth generation member of the church. My great great grandfather joined the church when it was first organized in 1830. That being said, I made the choice to be a member for myself because I have come to know the church is true. I have prayed to our Father in Heaven to know his will for me and being a member is what He desires of me.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the church working with the Young Men's Organization in our stake. In this calling, I help organize activities for our youth men ages 12 - 18 that build faith and character. This service also includes working as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America at the District level.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

I study the scriptures every day and find great joy in reading the word of God. Our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and it is found in the scriptures. One of my favorite scriptures is "Draw near to me, and I will draw near unto you seek me diligently and ye shall find me knock, and it shall be opened unto you." - Doctrine and Covenants 8863. If we make the effort to find God through reading the scriptures and following his commandments, we will find him and he will be our guide through this life.   Show more Show less
