Hi I'm Melinda

I'm a Latter-day Saint, a single, Christian woman who loves the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!

About Me

A visiting teacher and a volunteer institute teacher at the Women's prison in Draper, UT. Have a Bachelor's in Psychology. Love helping people prepare and find employment. I'm a single LDS women who loves living close to so many temples very grateful for them! My son is serving a mission in Mexico and that makes me the PROUDEST MOM in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE! =

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised in the Church, I did become inactive for a while. I thought I had lost my ability to pray or talk with our Father in Heaven. When I moved back to Utah at age 30, I read the book Jesus the Christ, by James E. Talmage. I found my Savior again! I bear testimony whenever I can about this amazing book, the scriptures and why I'm a Latter-day Saint---because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true! I researched other religions, but found my faith in the true Gospel.

How I live my faith

Being single in the Church is difficult only if I want it to be. I live daily as a daughter of God, not single or married, but knowing I am part of His eternal family and His plan of Happiness. By being happy, grateful and positive about the faith and truthfulness of the Gospel. I have peace because I walk the talk of the Gospel and striving to do the best I can.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We do. However, when someone asks me where the Book of Mormon came from, I turn the question back on them...where did the Bible come from? Who compiled the books and decided which ones would and would not become canon? Researching the creation of the sacred Bible is a wonderful way to build ones testimony. Show more Show less
