Hi I'm Carol Joy

I'm a teacher, I'm arguably a chemist, I'm a people person. I laugh, love, sing, cry, cook, play, dance, & live. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California, graduated from BYU, and taught high school Chemistry. Now I am a grad student in Chemistry and love life! I enjoy just about anything I can do with friends and family, especially Rummikub and puzzles. Music and teaching have always been present in my life, and I love them both. The Gospel is my life, and I love my Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart! Besides the Lord, and because of Him, people are my passion.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being taught by my parents about the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I was always encouraged to find out for myself what is true, and what is not. I don't remember the first time I prayed about the Church, but I remember always knowing it's true. There have been countless times I have received confirmation that Joseph Smith is a Prophet, the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture written for our day, and that we have a living prophet on the earth today! I feel evidence of that everytime I read from the Book of Mormon. I have seen how it changes the lives of anyone who truly seeks to know it, and I can't imagine my life any other way.

How I live my faith

I have always tried to live a clean, honest life by living what I know to be true. I pray and read my scriptures everyday! I figure that is the least I can do to attempt to repay my Heavenly Father for all the things He blesses me with. All I have ever done is try to follow Him. Through my study of the scriptures, I find that the best way we can serve our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, is by serving others. I know we were not sent here on this earth to do anything alone. I hope that I can help others come closer to Christ by being the best example I can of a follower of Christ.
