Hi I'm Stephanie Abraham

I grew up with my dad in the military. I love doing fun things and working hard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love dancing and danced all growing up and in high school. After high school I started doing triathlons and teaching swim classes. I just graduated with a bachelors in Communication Disorders in April and worked for four months under a team of speech pathologists in a school district to gain experience. I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Japan. I plan to start a masters program for Speech Pathology next fall. I am the oldest of five children. I have two awesome parents and four little brothers that I love and adore! My brother just younger than me is one of my best friends and is also serving a mission in Japan right now. My brothers and I love having nerf gun wars together in the basement and downstairs and playing mariokart. My dad is a pilot and switched to flying for United airlines when I was in fith grade. He has been furlowed from the airlines three times since 9/11 so my family has been creative in other businesses that we have started during those times.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church since I was eight years old but I too have had to through my conversion processes. Unfortunately, I have hit a few really low moments in my life that have sent me to my knees in earnest prayer to my Heavenly Father. I have found that when I do my own thing it always results in sadness and emptiness. When I do what the Lord asks things go well and I have peace of mind. When I am honest, obedient, service oriented, read scriptures, pray and do all that the Lord asks me to I feel in control and happy with my life even when things are hard. I have a testimony that the gospel in true. I know with everything I have in me that God watches over me and cares for me. I have had many experiences of seeing God's hand in my life. I know that Jesus Christ is my brother and performed the atonement for me. I know that I cannot do things on my own but I sincerely pray and allow His atonement to work in my life, I lifted up on the wings of angles. I know that the same God that created this world and put the planets in perfect orbit around the sun has also put life in perfect orbit with people in my life to bless me. I love my Heavenly Father and I am so grateful for His gospel. I strive to live everyday so that I can return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving a mission. I love this gospel so much that I decided to take a short 18 months out between my bachelors and masters degrees to share with anyone that would like to listen about the greatest thing that I have ever been given...the gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray every morning and night and all day. I read my scriptures daily because they fill my mind and heart with the truth of Heavenly Father to help me through each day. I keep a study journal with me to record spiritual things that I learn. I use blue to write insights that I get from my scriptures, I use red to write spiritual insights I find for myself, and I use green to write new goals for myself. This way I help myself to stay on task of trying to improve each day. I love serving in the Church as well. This last summer I worked at a youth camp. It was a camp that lasted one week where youth ages 14-18 came. We had SO much fun all day everyday as well as learned about the gospel. I help teach youth of these ages the joy that comes from reading their scriptures daily praying and living how Jesus Christ would. It is my favorite thing in the world to show how living like Christ is not boring, it includes having a lot of fun but in a way that brings joy to ourselves and to others.
