Hi I'm Matt

I'm a 21 year-old believer that is a brother, son, friend, favorite uncle, BYU student, and Hmong missionary - I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just an ordinary 21 year-old who loves endless runs, learning something new, playing and listening to all kinds of music, and going to movies with my family. I am currently serving a mission in the California Fresno Mission - Hmong speaking. I'm number 5 of 7 children. I'm the proud uncle to ten nephews and nieces, who I'm especially excited to see when I get home from serving. I'm a sophomore at Brigham Young University, but am putting putting school on hold to serve here in the California Fresno Mission. I absolutely love my life, my family, and this chance I have to serve the Lord for two years. I know that the gospel is true because it has allowed me to use the Atonement in my life and become the person the Lord would want me to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the blessings assured to those who obey the Lord's commandments and enter into sacred covenants with the Lord. Through the covenants I have made at the temple, I know that I am going to be with my past, current, and future family for eternity, and that's all I could ever ask for. Being a Mormon has transformed me into who I am today, and has drawn me closer unto my Savior more so than any other way possible.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. These include going to church every week to partake of the Sacrament, trying to serve and help others in any way I can, praying to the Lord for help in my life, and reading the scriptures to feel the Spirit and to learn how I can better become more like Christ. I am also voluntarily giving up two years of my life to serve as a missionary in the the central California Valley, helping the Hmong people to find the same happiness and joy I have found through living my faith in Jesus Christ.
