Hi I'm Joel

I am a school studying, football playing, and family loving man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Joel and I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up in Utah, where I excelled in school and athletics. Anytime I had the opportunity to show my talents I did. I love also being in the outdoors and I will spend any extra time I can get in the wilderness. In 2006 I had the opportunity to spend two years in the California Anaheim Mission. I loved being a missionary and helping others learn about Jesus Christ. I just recently graduated from college with a business degree, and am ready to tackle the world. I am now just waiting to get married on July 30th to the most beautiful girl in the world. Starting in August I will be in graduate school working on getting an MPA. I am excited to get started on these new adventures in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? There are many culminating reasons that have helped me to become a Mormon. I think one of the many reasons is because of my family. I look at my family and the way that we work together and I know that it is in large part that we all live gospel principles established by Christ in the New Testament and The Book of Mormon. As I look at other families that are missing these gospel principles, I notice that they are happy but that they are missing an eternal joy. My family knows that we will be together forever and because of this we need to treat each other in a way that we can be together forever. I am also a Mormon because of the way the gospel makes me feel. I know when I obey the principles that are taught in the scriptures and by our modern day prophets I feel happy. I know that things which are good are from God, and so I know that this is from God and very good. For these reasons and many many more I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I attempt to live my faith by doing the little things everyday. I honestly believe that it is doing small things for others can have a great effect on others. What are some of these little things? I think that giving my neighbor a ride to school on a wet snowy day or helping my Korean roommate work on his English homework. By doing these small things, then I feel like I am having a great impact on others into the future. For me I think one of my greatest abilities is teaching. Any opportunity that I have to teach others about the teachings of Christ I take it. I feel that this is an important aspect of living my faith. I want others to know what I love and what is important to me.
