Hi I'm Christine

I am Canadian, I am a mother of five daughters and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a stay at home mother of five children. I love spending time with my family and friends. As a family we enjoy hiking, swimming, canoeing, camping in the summer and fun snow activities, followed by hot chocolate in the winter. I love that we have four distinct seasons to enjoy where we live. I am enjoying the journey of my life and appreciate the people and experiences that are part of it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church when I was seven years old. I am so grateful I was able to learn the gospel from such a young age. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It brings such focus and a wonderful plan for me to follow. As a teenager I was able to set goals for my life that have helped me as an adult and in raising my family. The teachings of our Savior are so simple and offer hope and peace when I live the way He wants me to. The knowledge I now have is built on years of learning and applying what I have learned daily. When I want to know if something is true, I know I have to do my part in finding out. It takes faith and also action. This formula has never failed. If I have faith that what I am hearing is true, then I act on it, it is confirmed to me by the power of the Holy Ghost, He teaches me truth. I am grateful that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored and that I can be part of it. I know this is the most important knowledge I have in my life and that it helps me with all other areas of my life. As struggles and hard times come as they do for everyone, I feel that my testimony is my anchor and will help me to deal with these hard times in a better way.

How I live my faith

I currently teach a religion class to high school youth at church in the early morning, it is called Seminary. We are studying the Old Testament this year and learning from the scriptures together. It is important for me to keep learning what God wants me to do and I do this by staying close to him through prayer, scripture study and serving my family and others.
