Hi I'm Ron

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 59 years old, a husband, a father of four wonderful children, and a grandfather. My wife is British, so we've gone to England a lot over the years to be with her family. I am a teacher of religious education in the LDS Seminary & Institute program. I love to do things with my family, study the gospel, and for some extra fun, delve into photography. Actually I used to be a wedding and portrait photographer, but I've turned it into just a hobby over the last several years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But just because I was born a member doesn't mean that's why I am a devoted member today. Anyone can be born a member of any religious organization, yet not understand where they came from before birth, why they are here on earth, where they go after death, or know about their greatest potential in the eternities to come. I came to know from the Holy Ghost that the answers to these questions are found in this church. They were known in Christ's ancient church, were lost after the death of the apostles, and were restored in these latter days, just as the Bible prophecies. I love these truths. I love the eternal perspective they give to our life and our challenges. I love the purpose and vision this knowledge gives my family and myself. I am grateful that God loves us enough to make such information available and that we may know what we can do to be not only saved by Jesus Christ but also receive his highest eternal gifts.

How I live my faith

Our family prays together. We study the scriptures together when we can. We attend Church every Sunday. The young people in our family attend youth activities in the Church during the week. Plus our family gets together often for fun, food, and to enjoy the love we feel for each other. I enjoy teaching a Sunday School class where people attend who are either visitors or investigators. I also enjoy teaching the scriptures to high school and college age students during regular school days. My family and I strive to live by the standards taught by Jesus Christ and his leaders, which provides increased safety in today's world.
