Hi I'm Erin

I'm a happy full-time mom to my five little kids. I love my husband, my kids, my life, my religion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to the nicest guy I've ever known and together we are enjoying the wild and wacky ride of parenthood. I enjoyed my college studies in Public Relations and moved up quickly in the work force, but now I have my dream job spending my days raising my wonderful kids. These days my hobbies revolve around them. We love spending time outside together, working on our house and yard, enjoying nature in our beautiful town, and snuggling up together for a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Mormon Church is true, plain and simple. I was raised by parents who were both Mormon and who taught their children the gospel from a young age. My entire life, I've been lucky enough to enjoy tremendous blessings that come from living the principles taught in the Mormon Church. I have also been blessed by the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost, who helps me to know what is true and right, directs me in the paths I should go, and blesses me with inspiration in my daily life. I know through the Holy Ghost that the Mormon Church isn't just a nice Church with nice people it is true. It really is the full gospel of Jesus Christ restored to the earth in our day.

How I live my faith

I try to make my actions consistent with my beliefs. I teach my children about Jesus Christ, and we try daily to be more like him. I ask for God's help to see other people the way he sees them, and I seek for inspiration to know how He would have me help them. At Church, I have enjoyed many years of teaching children in their classes at Church on Sunday, although in so many cases they are the ones teaching me! More recently, I was in charge of planning the activites for our ward, including parties, campouts, and service projects. We have a lot of fun together!

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon means happiness. We know why we are on earth, we know what God wants us to do here, and we know what reward we can be given if we follow His plan for us. Having this knowledge gives us great joy! Mormons are a happy people. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Absolutely. We study the life and mission of the Savior Jesus Christ, and the teaching of the prophets who preceeded him and the apostles who followed him, from the King James version of the Bible. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes! We believe that Jesus Christ was the literal Son of God, that He came to Earth to show us an example and to atone for our sins and be resurrected. We know that without His sacrifice on our behalf, we could never be made whole again and be able to live again with God. We worship Jesus Christ and focus our entire earthly existence on trying to become like him. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Women in the Mormon Church are treated with great respect and esteem. Nowhere is the divinity of women taught and honored more than in the Mormon Church. We are taught that husband and wife are equal partners. The Mormon men I know treat their wives with such admirable love and affection and respect...many of my friends who aren't Mormon want to know how to get their husbands to treat them in the same way! Mormon women are accomplished, educated, faithful, involved, and confident in their roles as women. Show more Show less
