Hi I'm Rob Cain

I live in California. I'm married to a wonderful woman and have 3 lovely and talented daughters - one of which is still at home.

About Me

I'm a happily married father of 3 daughters. I work in the financial services industry - have for the past 20+ years. I like to spend time with my family - though two of my daughters have grown up and left our home - it's great to see them and my son-in-law when I can. I also enjoy helping my youngest daughter with her homework, learning new things, seeing new places, exercising, working and serving in my church. I like to read good books, though there never seems to be enough time, and watch sports - especially the SF Giants, when I can find time as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to grow up in the Church and have been active all my life. As I think back, there is not one particular instance or event that I could point to that determined my faith, belief in or activity in the Church rather it has been more of a life time of living gospel principals that have dictated my faith and directed my belief in Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I have a belief in Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God and most importantly that He knows me - by name and that He has restored His church in this day and age. I also know that He knows my struggles, trials, joys and sorrows. I'm grateful for my relationship with Jesus Christ - my life is enriched and edified by my knowledge of His gospel and His love for me.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church and community as does my wife. One thing I've done the past four years is serve as head cook at a youth camp our church sponsors. We prepare 3 meals a day plus snacks and dessert for about 130 people, including youth and adults. It is a ton or work but a lot of fun and very rewarding. I also serve by visiting members of our congregation to check up on them and see how they are doing as well as drop of a message of encouragement. I will also teach lessons on Sunday and occasionally speak in church. I strive to read daily from the scriptures as well as pray, alone and with my family. I also avoid taking into my body harmful substances - except chocolate :-)
